Following Nicușor Dan's resignation as Mayor of Bucharest, the General Congress of the Municipality of Bucharest decided, in an extraordinary session, to appoint Stelian Bujduveanu as interim mayor, replacing PSD Deputy Mayor Adrian Vigheciu, according to a previous decision. Nicușor Dan was recently validated as President of Romania and will be sworn in by the Parliament, marking the beginning of his mandate at the Cotroceni.
