Nicușor Dan is in Poland for the second time this week, where he will participate on Saturday in a meeting in Jurata, organized by his counterpart, Karol Nawrocki. The presidents of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, Alar Karis, Edgars Rinkevics, and Gitanas Nauseda, will also be present at the meeting.
The meeting will address crucial themes for the region, including strengthening European security in the context of the threats posed by the war in Ukraine and instability in the Middle East. Nicușor Dan will emphasize the importance of the unity of the European Union and Romania's commitment to NATO and the EU, highlighting the need to strengthen defense on NATO's eastern flank.
Additionally, the adaptation of European Union policies to global challenges and the improvement of energy security will be discussed. The former mayor also visited Poland on Thursday, participating in the Eastern Flank Summit.
