10 Years since Colectiv | President Nicușor Dan laid a wreath at the monument of the victims of the Colectiv fire

On Thursday morning, President Nicușor Dan attended a ceremony at the monument dedicated to the victims of the Colectiv fire, where he laid a wreath, lit a candle, and bowed in memory of the 65 young people who lost their lives in the tragedy.
The fire occurred on October 30, 2015, during a concert by the band Goodbye to Gravity, caused by fireworks that ignited soundproofing materials. Of the 65 dead, 27 died on the night of the tragedy, while 37 died later in the hospital. The monument, located in front of the former club, was inaugurated in 2016. This evening, civic organizations will hold a march in Bucharest to mark this tragic moment.
