President Nicușor Dan has initiated informal consultations at Cotroceni with political leaders, following the dismissal of the Bolojan government.

Nicușor Dan started informal consultations this morning at Cotroceni with political leaders, including Kelemen Hunor (UDMR) and Dominic Fritz (USR), followed by Sorin Grindeanu (PSD) and Ilie Bolojan (PNL). These consultations come in the context in which PSD and the extremist party AUR initiated a motion of censure, resulting in the dismissal of Bolojan's government through a vote in Parliament. Although Nicușor Dan avoided criticizing the alliance between PSD and AUR, he previously mentioned that AUR is an anti-European and anti-Western party. Following the motion of censure, PSD and USR agreed to no longer collaborate within a coalition.
