Independent candidate Nicușor Dan commented on the support announced by USR for his candidacy in the 2025 presidential elections, saying that he had no involvement in this decision, but that he considers it right.

"It's not about me, nor about Mrs. Lasconi, it's about the direction Romania is going in and, from this perspective, the gesture made today by USR is absolutely right", said Nicușor Dan in an interview with Antena 3.
