Nicușor Dan declared that ANAF uses a Romanian software product that facilitates the identification of phantom companies involved in the reimbursement of non-existent VAT. He mentioned that he will make a public announcement together with the Minister of Finance to present the status of digitalization in the fight against tax evasion. The subject was also discussed within the CSAT, emphasizing the importance of integrating it into the national security strategy.
