USR Senator Ruxandra Cibu Deaconu and Deputy Oana Murariu have submitted a legislative proposal that modifies the taxation of contributions paid by beneficiaries of social services, such as the elderly, children, and people with disabilities. Currently, these contributions are considered taxable income, which creates a legislative inconsistency with other normative acts that consider them part of the funding for social services.

The proposal aims to exclude these contributions from taxable income, aligning tax legislation with that of social assistance. Ruxandra Cibu Deaconu emphasizes that the state has other financial resources and that social NGOs risk closing their activities without support. Oana Murariu adds that eliminating taxation will improve the quality of services for vulnerable individuals, ensuring them better care and resources.
