Ciprian Ciucu challenged in court the judicial control imposed by the DNA, the general mayor of the Capital being accused of taking bribes in connection with consulting and advertising services. His appeal will be judged on June 24.
Ciprian Ciucu must comply with the judicial control, presenting himself weekly at the police, but he has no restrictions in exercising his mandate as mayor.
According to the DNA, in November 2025, in the context of the efforts made to obtain the urbanism certificate and the building permit for a real estate project located in the municipality of Bucharest, two businessmen allegedly offered "undue benefits represented by advertising and electoral consulting services," provided during the period of November-December 2025, intended to support Ciucu's political and electoral activity.
The DNA emphasized that the accusations are under investigation and that all defendants benefit from the presumption of innocence.
