The initiative adopted with 104 votes in favor stipulates that economic operators with a majority of shares owned by the state, who have tax arrears, cannot increase the salaries of board members. The aim is to hold management accountable and stop abuses, where bosses receive bonuses despite losses. Oana Țoiu, the initiator of the law, emphasizes the importance of performance over privileges, thus restoring trust in the management of state companies. The initiative will be debated in the Chamber of Deputies.
