The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that, if he had been in the place of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, he would have adopted some decisions of the current Executive, but would have paid special attention to the opportunity of increasing VAT. Grindeanu believes that a detailed analysis of the impact of this measure is essential, emphasizing the importance of a cautious approach in managing fiscal policies. He also mentioned that he would have expedited the economic relaunch, highlighting the need for quick and effective measures to stimulate economic growth in the current context.

"There was no need for the VAT increase – I agree with Nicușor Dan. All this rearrangement, necessary on certain components, we have not heard to comment on, such as the reduction of the number of those in the boards of directors and others, but what has been done since September... the economic relaunch should have come earlier, in September," said Sorin Grindeanu.
