PNL Senator Glad Varga commented on the repeated delays of the Constitutional Court regarding the magistrates' pension law, emphasizing that reform is not a political issue, but a real necessity. He highlighted the risks associated with decision-making blockages, including the loss of PNRR funds and the stalling of Romania's development. Varga criticized the lack of transparency and efficiency of the CCR, mentioning that instead of ruling on the legality of the law, discussions are constantly postponed for various reasons, such as lack of quorum or the need for opinions. The president of the CCR, Simina Tănăsescu, confirmed that the necessary quorum was not met to make a decision, and the next meeting was scheduled for January 16, which represents the third postponement of this important subject. Varga emphasized that time is not an infinite resource and that it is essential to clarify the status of this law.
