Gigi Becali, an unaffiliated deputy, participated in consultations with the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, where he stated that he discussed a possible support for a minority government from some groups within PNL, who, however, are afraid of Ilie Bolojan. Becali suggested that the president should use the director of the Protection and Guard Service, Lucian Pahonțu, to resolve the issue with Bolojan, rhetorically asking if he is so influential that he can keep the country in place.
Becali emphasized the importance of using all the levers of state power to ensure its proper functioning and mentioned that, in his opinion, most well-known individuals have "skeletons" in their past. He stated that the president should call on all institutions to form an efficient government.
