"The Veștea/Nicușor government has fallen," says George Simion. The vote continues in Parliament.

George Simion, the leader of AUR, announced on Facebook that the Veștea/Nicușor Government has failed the vote, right at the moment when the process of investing in Parliament began.

Simion left the plenary after he delivered a speech in which he stated that he would not force his colleagues to vote in a certain way. He emphasized that, together with those who do not consider themselves traitors, he will leave the room, considering it a symbol of betrayal. Simion declared that AUR does not betray and that there is a majority of Romanians who share the same vision.
