Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, stated that he supports the increase of child allowances starting January 1, 2026, indexing them to the inflation rate. He emphasized that there has been no discussion in the government or in the coalition regarding the freezing of allowances for next year. Manole highlighted the issue of poverty among children in Romania, mentioning that inflation and rising prices affect the budgets of needy families. The minister believes that allowances are essential for supporting these families and stated that it is important to continue to support them.
