Gabriela Firea, letter to Ursula Von der Leyen: Request for a European fund for fertility treatments

Gabriela Firea sent a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, requesting the establishment of a European Fund dedicated to access to fertility treatments.

She proposes financial support for affected couples, including for in vitro fertilization, and equal access to treatments in all member states. Firea emphasizes the importance of supporting families for the future of Europe and mentions that, due to the natality support programs initiated in Bucharest, over 3,000 children have been born.

Additionally, she will request essential legislative changes in the European Parliament to support infertile couples, considering the slight increase in natality in recent years.
