Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized that Romania is facing a major problem related to very early retirements, which occur at nearly 50 years of age. He stated that this retirement system has become economically unsustainable, considering that the number of active individuals contributing to the pension budget is decreasing. Bolojan highlighted that, to ensure the financial stability of the pension system, a reform is necessary to address this issue and adjust the retirement age, in order to reduce the pressure on the budget.
