Diana Iovanovici-Șoșoacă, Member of the European Parliament and president of the S.O.S. Romania Party, participated in an event organized by the publication China Today, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the European Union and China. During the event, she emphasized the need to rebuild relations on the basis of mutual respect and economic cooperation.

Șoșoacă highlighted that the Chinese state, as the world's leading economic power, plays an important role in promoting peace and resolving international conflicts. She also mentioned that her visit to Beijing and meetings with Chinese officials are the result of a year and a half of diplomatic efforts, culminating in the invitation of a Chinese delegation to the European Parliament. This represents a significant step in resuming bilateral cooperation. In conclusion, Șoșoacă emphasized the importance of Romania and the European Union repositioning themselves in relation to the major global powers, promoting a pro-peace foreign policy based on dialogue.
