The Mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, lost the elections for the General Mayor of the Capital to the liberal Ciprian Ciucu, according to the first Exit Poll data. Băluță had a brief reaction, stating that the result is inconclusive and emphasizing the importance of counting the votes. He thanked his team and asked his colleagues in the polling stations to be attentive to the counting process.
On the morning of the elections, Băluță appeared confident in his chances, highlighting the need for efficient administration for Bucharest. At the same time, he launched accusations against a rival candidate, accusing him of violating democratic rules through premature statements, considering them illegal and disrespectful to the voters. Băluță urged Bucharest residents to go out and vote and to choose the candidate who truly represents them.
