Daniel Băluță, the president of PSD Bucharest and mayor of Sector 4, launched a vehement attack against the general mayor Ciprian Ciucu, accusing him of amateurism and lack of vision in managing the issues of the Capital. Băluță condemned the measures proposed by Ciucu, including layoffs and increases in public transport fares, emphasizing that these affect vulnerable individuals.

He called on the mayor to come up with concrete solutions, as promised during the electoral campaign, and highlighted the need for a plan of sustainable measures for the economic recovery of Bucharest. In response, Ciprian Ciucu justified the unpopular measures by citing the structural problems of the budget, announcing that the Local Council will analyze the dissolution of certain public institutions.
