Constantin Toma, criticism of the PSD leadership: „They overthrew the Government of which they were also a part and did not put anything in its place [...] If they were to kick me out, I would sleep peacefully”

The mayor of Buzău municipality, Constantin Toma, stated that the PSD should form an agreement to enter the government, considering the economic situation of the country.

Toma emphasized that, in the context where the party does not hold a majority, it is essential to engage in negotiations to ensure governmental stability.

At the same time, Toma criticized the PSD leadership, believing that the decisions made do not reflect the current reality.

“People need a stable Government, and they have overthrown, I am talking about Grindeanu and those close to him, they have overthrown the Government of which they were also a part and have not put anything in its place. They are not in a position to put something in place that would create stability, unfortunately. (...) I make some observations related to the fact that, ultimately, in the most difficult situation of the country since 1990, the decisions being made in the PSD, in my opinion, do not align with reality,” stated the mayor of Buzău.

The mayor took responsibility for the criticisms against the party, including the possibility of exclusion, stating that he would not be bothered by this: “They can throw me out whenever they want. I have also declared here: in the situation where they would throw me out, I would sleep more peacefully.”
