Marcel Ciolacu, former prime minister and president of the Buzău County Council, stated that the motion of no confidence against the government led by Ilie Bolojan will pass successfully, anticipating a historic score. Ciolacu mentioned that, having considerable parliamentary experience, he is convinced that this will be the most voted motion in the history of Romania.
Regarding Bolojan's fate after the ousting, Ciolacu described him as a strong man who will face challenges, similar to his own experience. The motion was submitted with 254 signatures, needing 233 votes to pass.
The vote will be secret and will take place on Tuesday, May 5, in Parliament. Ciolacu emphasized that the appointment of the future prime minister belongs to the President of Romania, not to a party, and discussions will be held with him.
