Cezar Ionașcu, an influencer known for his controversial statements about relationships, masculinity, and health, is entering politics. He is a founding member and vice president of the La Dispoziția Ta Party, a center-right party set to be launched on October 25.
The party is led by Mariana Varga, former president of the Argeș Tribunal, who was left without political affiliation after passing through SOS and UPR. The party has 13 founding members and claims to have approximately 20 branches across the country.
The party logo is a car steering wheel, a symbol through which the initiators say they want to convey the idea that citizens must control the direction of politics. Among the founders are judges, businesspeople, doctors, prosecutors, and specialists in minority, elderly, and diaspora issues. The list also includes Dorin Popa, a former POT deputy, currently politically unaffiliated and a member of the PSD group in the Chamber of Deputies.
Ionașcu’s entry into politics comes after several public controversies. During the pandemic, he criticized the wearing of masks, and he later became known for online advice and statements about relationships and fidelity. Last year, his name was mentioned in a marital scandal, which the influencer attributed to differences in spiritual views within the couple.
