The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) will analyze, on Monday, the complaints related to the law that modifies normative acts in the field of integrity, especially the extension of the obligation to complete asset and interest declarations. President Nicușor Dan emphasized that the law was adopted in violation of constitutional norms, criticizing the normative clarity of the phrase "the person who has relationships similar to those of spouses." It is also contested the contraventional responsibility imposed on individuals who do not hold public office.
CCR will also analyze today the complaint regarding the biodiversity law, after the project was contested by AUR. The national strategy for biodiversity conservation 2026-2030 represents a milestone from the PNRR, with a financial stake of approximately 972 million euros. The leader of the AUR senators, Petrișor Peiu, criticized the fact that the Government transferred to Parliament a strategy that had initially been adopted at the governmental level, accusing a violation of the delineation between the responsibilities of the Government and those of Parliament.
