Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the railway works in Romania are facing significant delays, mentioning that nothing has been completed on time for 20 years due to administrative deficiencies at the Ministry of Transport and CFR. Bolojan emphasized that CFR, with over 30,000 employees, is facing high costs and structural problems, which hinder modernization. He highlighted that to become profitable, CFR needs to improve its rolling stock and invest in infrastructure.

The Prime Minister added that, despite the delays, he expects gradual improvements in the coming years, including increased travel speed and reduced delays. Regarding Hidroelectrica, Bolojan suggested that it could increase its market intervention capacity through energy storage, which would lead to higher profits. He emphasized the importance of efficient management to achieve these objectives.
