Ilie Bolojan, interim prime minister, reacted firmly to the PSD's accusations regarding the SAFE (Security Action For Europe) military procurement program, stating that all procedures were conducted in a transparent and correct manner.
The PSD accused him of a "scandalous influence peddling" in connection with a secret agreement between the Romanian Government and a German supplier of military equipment.
Bolojan emphasized that the implementation of the SAFE program will conclude this month and that the Government aimed to secure commitments from investors for the establishment of production facilities in Romania. He explained that a legal assistance service was contracted to finalize contracts with insurance clauses.
He suggested that the accusations are motivated by his reforms, stating that "those who are disturbed do not remain in debt to you."
