Ilie Bolojan published a message on Wednesday highlighting his achievements in the 10 months of governance, mentioning that he did everything possible to bring order to Romania's finances and correct injustices.
"Dear Romanians, it has been an honor for me to serve for 10 months in our country's service, in the position of Prime Minister.
I have done everything in my power to bring order to Romania's finances, to correct injustices, and to promote reforms for the modernization of Romania. Most importantly, I have proven that another way of governing is possible.
Thank you, dear Romanians, for enduring the hardships that come with correcting the country's finances. They were not an end in themselves or a choice, but a price for reconstruction and future prosperity", wrote Ilie Bolojan.
He emphasized the importance of reforms for the modernization of the country and pointed out that his efforts were not an end in themselves, but a necessary price for future reconstruction and prosperity. Bolojan thanked the Romanians for their patience in the face of the difficulties generated by these measures.
He also appreciated the collaboration with his colleagues, highlighting the quality of the people he met during this period, from simple officials to high-ranking leaders.
"I met many quality people, from the simplest positions to the highest ones.
Together we proved that it is possible to govern with rules, without wasting public money and without arrogance.
After 10 months, the inevitable happened. When you attack privileges and turn on the light, the reactions are proportional.
Until my last day in this position, I will work for the interests of Romania and I will not abandon the principles I have upheld throughout my career.
All the support I have received, especially in the last month, motivates me to move forward, to continue fighting for Romania and its future. One stage ends, another begins; the values I fight for remain the same and it is essential that I feel your support.
THANK YOU, ROMANIA!", concluded Bolojan.
