Following the contamination with chlorides of the Târnava Mica river, a major source of water for localities in Mureș County, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has convened the CNSU to adopt urgent measures. The Environment Ministry will evaluate desalination solutions and look for alternative water sources. Local authorities are involved in implementing the solutions and the government will provide the necessary funds from the budget reserve. The situation affects some 39,000 people in the area.
