Former President Traian Băsescu commented on the deadlock in negotiations between the Bolojan Government and magistrates regarding their pensions, emphasizing that the only viable solution is negotiation. Băsescu noted that both parties have become rigid, but it is essential to reach a compromise. He mentioned that, in the absence of a negotiated solution, the Prime Minister could once again resort to assuming responsibility before the Constitutional Court. Băsescu highlighted the importance of cooperation among the three branches of government, stressing that the independence of judges does not depend on how they are appointed.
