AUR proposes ten measures for state reform and economic recovery

The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) launched on Monday a package of ten measures aimed at reforming the state and stabilizing the economy, in the critical context of the chaotic decisions of the PSD-PNL-USR-UDMR Government. The leader of the AUR senators, Petrișor Peiu, emphasized that these measures are concrete solutions for citizens, who expect effective actions, not political improvisations. Among AUR's proposals are: reducing the number of parliamentarians to 300, local elections in two rounds, exemption from property tax for residential homes, administrative reform, returning VAT rates to standard levels, eliminating the limitation on cash payments, protecting property rights over private pensions, banning tax deductions for certain operations, stopping decarbonization until energy sufficiency is achieved, and abolishing certain regulatory institutions. AUR argues that these measures can be implemented immediately and that the current governmental coalition blocks real change initiatives.
