The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) harshly criticized the commitments made by President Nicușor Dan by signing the 'Joint Declaration for establishing a strategic partnership between Romania and Ukraine'. AUR claims that the document reflects solely the interests of Ukraine, ignoring the Romanian community in Ukraine, which is facing a process of denationalization. AUR accuses the president of betraying these communities, mentioning the decrease in the number of schools teaching in the Romanian language. Additionally, AUR contests the commitments in the energy sector, considering them contrary to Romania's interests, and opposes subsidizing energy for Ukraine. AUR asserts that it is the only party capable of defending Romania's national interests and ensuring the security of Romanians.
