A solution for both Romania and Călin Georgescu

From what I understand the evidence against Calin Georgescu is very strong. The charges are very tough. The prosecutors are experienced. The punishment he will receive will probably be very severe.
What's in it for Romanian society?
It stops the Russian onslaught and the state shows that it still exists, although the negligence of the first phase cannot be ignored.
But I think that Romania and Calin Georgescu would have much more to gain, together, if he would admit his guilt, if he would sign an acknowledgment agreement, Georgescu would say everything he has done, the state would get its hands on the whole network and we would avoid a trial from which Romania has nothing to gain.
Moreover, a recognition agreement would allow a reunification of our society around European values. It would allow us to talk about the real problems of our society during the electoral campaign: the budget deficit, the development gap between regions and social categories, the demographic problem, administrative reform, the army's equipment, foreign policy, our role in the EU and NATO, the need to refresh the political class.
A recognition agreement will keep Georgescu out of jail and allow him to raise his grandchildren, hopefully in a different way than he did. An agreement also helps Romania, all of us, to be better, more forgiving, more united, more Christian.
If it would happen, it would be for me an important proof of the maturation of the Romanian society.
PS. Chestiunea cu sustinerea lui Trump este o scheruma. Trump can't risk supporting a former communist spy in the US who has papat USAID funds, wants to nationalize companies and install, again, communism in Bucharest. Chiar daca l's-ar sustine, par absurd, ne lui ajuta cu nimic. When he took the car, the money from Potra and declared zero expenses, the game was played.
