Vladimir Plahotniuc, a former Moldovan parliamentarian and prime suspect in the case of the disappearance of 1 billion dollars from the banking system, has been detained in Greece. His lawyer said he is willing to be extradited to Moldova despite extradition requests from Russia. Plahotniuc, who fled Moldova in 2019, has been implicated in criminal activities, including money laundering and attempted murder. He also announced that he would publish important information about the situation in Moldova.
