The U.S. Embassy announced in a Facebook post that as of September 2, 2025, only applicants renewing their B-1, B-2, B1/B2 visas that expired within the last 12 months, as well as certain categories of diplomatic or official visas, will be eligible for renewal without an interview. Consular officers reserve the right to require an interview depending on the circumstances.
