The 6.9 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck Tuesday evening in the central area of the Philippines, causing significant damage and an increased number of casualties, reaching 69 dead. The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning, recommending citizens to avoid traveling to the affected areas and to stay informed through local authorities. Additionally, a tsunami warning has been issued for the islands of Leyte, Cebu, and Biliran, and rescue operations are currently underway.
