Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, confirmed that the heating aid schemes, including for firewood and gas, will remain unchanged. The gas price will be capped until March 31, 2026, thus ensuring stability in bills. The ministry is working to avoid a sudden increase in prices after this date. It was also mentioned that the electricity bill has doubled for many Romanians, but there are suppliers offering lower prices. Approximately 450,000 people have switched their electricity supplier this year.
