The protests of the magistrates come in the context of the reform proposal that would reduce special pensions to a maximum of 75% of the last salary and would raise the retirement age to 65 years. The Vice President of PSD, Gabriel Zetea, emphasized that the state no longer has financial resources to support these pensions, and the courts in the country are suspending court hearings. Zetea mentioned that it is essential to have discussions with the magistrates to explain the reality of the budget. The reform proposals have generated discontent among the magistrates, who are threatening to strike.
