The Europol Union has reported an infestation of bedbugs in the detention and preventive arrest centers in the Capital, severely affecting the working conditions of the police officers. Hundreds of employees have reported bites and filth, and ten police officers required medical attention. In the face of the management's indifference, the union members have notified the Public Health Directorate and the Ombudsman, demanding urgent measures to protect the health and dignity of the workers. Almost 40% of employees wish to leave the affected structures.
