The mayor of Kharkiv has acknowledged the destruction of the city's energy infrastructure as a result of the Russian attacks, including a thermal power plant.

Kharkiv has become the target of increasingly aggressive Russian attacks, with an intensification of strikes in recent weeks. A thermal power plant and all electrical substations in Ukraine's second largest city were destroyed. The mayor indicated that the attacks also targeted private energy infrastructure.
