In the first seven months of 2025, Romanian police carried out 538 actions against drug trafficking, arresting more than 600 people and seizing almost 2 tons of drugs.

Between January and July 2025, the Romanian police carried out 538 actions to combat drug trafficking, investigating 1,681 people. During these operations, almost 2,000 searches were carried out, resulting in 639 preventive arrests and 953 detentions. Almost 2 tons of drugs were seized, including cannabis and cocaine. Various trafficking groups were detected and authorities intervened to prevent the production of high-risk drugs.
