This year, nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize included organizations such as the International Criminal Court and the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) and its Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by a committee made up of five members, elected for a six-year term by the Norwegian parliament (Stortinget), and is the only prize awarded in Oslo, while the awards for other categories are given in Stockholm.
