The Romanian police, in collaboration with the Swiss authorities and EUROJUST, carried out 21 raids in the counties of Bacău and Neamț, targeting a Romanian criminal group specialized in human trafficking and pimping. The group had been operating for seven years, with victims, including pregnant women, brutally exploited in Switzerland and other European countries. The leader of the group trained new members in techniques to enslave victims, who were recruited through social networks and subjected to grueling labor. Investigations are continuing with the help of Europol.
