Romanian lithium-ion battery manufacturer Prime Batteries Technology, founded by Adrian Polec, will build a new factory next to its existing plant in Cernica and another one in Fundulea, following a €700 million investment. These expansions are aimed at increasing production capacity and introducing new technological processes, such as painting. The company, which has reported a turnover of €41.3 million in 2023, is collaborating with major industry players and aims to reach a production capacity of 8 GWh by 2026.
