The recent draft legislation proposed by the Ministry of Development introduces a performance-based bonus system for civil servants managing EU funds, ranging from 5% to 50% of salary. The bonuses will be based on actual time worked and progress in project implementation, verified by quarterly reports. This measure aims to introduce meritocracy in public administration, ensuring fair use of public money. The bill is scheduled to enter into force on September 1.
