In June 2025, the number of occupied posts in public institutions in Romania increased by 234 compared to the previous month, totaling 1,305,595.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, in June 2025, the public sector in Romania had 1,305,595 occupied posts, an increase of 234 compared to May, but 6,913 fewer than in January 2025. More than 64% of these were in central public administration, with the highest number of posts in the Ministry of Education (308,368) and the Ministry of Interior (126,880). In local public administration, the number of employees was 468,354, down by 577 from the previous month.
