Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has said that the package of scholarships for students, which has increased from 188 million lei to 4.7 billion lei in three years, needs to be reconfigured because of shortfalls in education. Although the scholarships have led to an improvement in performance, Bolojan stresses that their impact needs to be analyzed. His statements come amid protests by students and pupils dissatisfied with the proposed changes in the calculation of the scholarship fund, which will continue.
