Ilie Bolojan emphasized that, following the increase of the teaching norm by two hours, over 98% of tenured teachers managed to find additional hours in the schools where they teach, contrary to pessimistic forecasts. This measure led to the elimination of 15,000 hourly paid positions, thus saving important financial resources. The Prime Minister mentioned that, although spending cuts are not popular, they are necessary to avoid waste in the educational system and in administration.
