The CCJ rejected Călin Georgescu's appeal against the results of the 2024 presidential elections.

<p>Following a final decision, the Court of Cassation rejected the appeal lodged by the Association for the Defense of Public Freedoms and Călin Georgescu against the results of the second round of the 2024 presidential elections. The two had challenged the election results and asked for the electoral process to be resumed in order to include them as candidates. The court considered the appeal as moot and also rejected the request to refer the case to the Constitutional Court.
