Călin Georgescu's trial postponed due to judges' protests

The trial of Călin Georgescu has been postponed due to the protests of the magistrates, marking the second postponement after the one on September 1. Until the protest is concluded, only cases related to rights and freedoms are being judged. Georgescu, accused of promoting fascist ideologies and actions against the constitutional order, contests the indictment and wants to return the case to the prosecutors. He remains under judicial control and cannot run for the presidential elections. Additionally, the authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed the arrest of an accomplice, Horațiu Potra, with a view to extradition.
