Vibrio, a dangerous bacterium, thrives in the warm waters of the Black Sea, causing gastroenteritis and septicaemia, with an increased risk for children. Infections can also be caused by eating undercooked seafood or coming into contact with contaminated water, especially if there are lesions on the skin. Experts recommend cooking seafood thoroughly and covering wounds before swimming in the sea. Due to global warming, infection risks will increase in the coming years.
