Since the beginning of the year, InfoCons has identified more than 30 European alerts for cosmetic sunscreen products, most of them with chemical risks. These include the banned substance BMHCA, which can affect reproductive health and cause allergic reactions. Products such as Leocrema, Biosthetique® and Nivea are among those targeted. Some products have also been contaminated with dangerous bacteria, and consumers are advised to check ingredients and use verification apps.
